Corolla VVVVVVTVTVTVTVVVTi. pathetic...

couldn't even live with an LG4 camaro...

out for a quick blast today, going from a 30 to a 60 zone, he looked at me, droped about 9 gears and howled it.

i gave the S/C a half arsed stomp on the throttle, and in a couple of seconds i was on his bumper, flashing him to let me past (road goes to 2 lanes)

blew past him with my window down, just in time to hear him touch his rev limiter, then change gear..

what a waste of $28 000 that car is...

That car doesn't cost that much you clown. Please see the 350Z thread. You desperately need the info in there.

check this link..

the VVTi is the most expensive, then multiply by 1.82 to get US dollars..

http://toyota.co.uk/cgi-bin/toyota/b...sp?id=homepage

Choose between 3- and 5- door hatchbacks (including the exciting T Sport - 3 door only), a saloon and a roomy estate.

£11,695 to £15,995...

1.8 VVTL-i Petrol Manual
Top Speed 140 mph (225 km/h)
Acceleration 0-62mph 0-100kmh 8.4 sec

sorry, but thats pathetic for a $29 000 car..

2 problems - i'm talking about the T-Sport, and that is the US sticker price, not what they cost here..

the base model cooking corolla is more than that here...

I still stand by what I said first. You are a clown. Just because that car isn't fast means it's not worth the money? If that's the case, I can think of about 99% of all cars produced at anytime in history that fit that account, including yours.

Captin Picard, please point out any place in this thread where someone is 'adding' to the board.

first off, i still dont appreciate being called a clown by someone who clearly doesn't know me, my background and is already on probation..

secondly, how can you possibly comment, you have no idea what the T sport is like.

LOL, do you really think that NJ is better than England? When I went to London I didn't think it was bad at all. Are you just home sick or something?

oh dear lord.........

home sick? well if sitting at home, in the town i have lived all my life in is homesick, then yeah...

i like NJ because i have a lot of friends there, and its not as bad as people make out, you need to live in the UK to know just how expensive everything is here..

example - last time i came over to the US i had a crab salad while in heathrow airport.

that salad cost $27.

a gallon of gas is over $7

a gallon of engine oil is $30

a loaf of bread is $1

a coffee in a gas station is $3.50

a small house here is near $400 000

i make just over $25 000 per year.

that **** gets old real fast.

I guess i'm kinda old school *******, i like American things, i like American cars, i like American people, and most of all, i LOVE America.

Unfortunatley its impossible for a UK citizen to get a green card to live in the US, unless you own a buissiness, or are in a cirtain profession that is in high demand.

as an engineer, i do not qualify, so i cant live there.

true to a VERY small extent on brand new mainstream cars, but classic cars or American cars can be extremely cheap to insure..

example, an integra type R is more expensive to insure than a BMW 740i

its based on risk..

The way that you talk made me think you were from here. I'm used to the British people on Saab boards (kind of stuck up snobby attitude, are you surprised?).

You don't have to tell me about it. I was in London a week, and it didn't take long at all to realize that everything was twice as much in London as things are here. We went to Zoobar in Piccadilly (sp?) circus and spent over $50 on only five drinks. That was a nice little shock. We were also surprised when someone told us that we had a cool accent, that only happened once though.

My favorite story to tell people is how when you are in a store, instead of employees asking you, "May I help you?" or "how can I help you?" They say, "Are you alright?"

It took like half of the week to realize that people weren't concerned about my health.

Insurance is actualy such a complete clusterf**k here, a lot of people just assume that the bigger the engine the higher the premium, mainly because thats how a couple of the larger companies work.

with a larger engined car, you just have to use more specialist companies..

He's probably more mis-informed, or unaware of the smaller companies than actualy wrong..

hahaha, funny how such small things can come across so differently huh?

it doesn't supprise me that people on the saab boards come across as snobby! nice cars, can be stuck up owners!

hey, you say you make abit over 25,000 a year? In england? how do you live on that with those prices?

And yeah, a car that isnt fast doesnt mean it aint worth the cost. Some cars offer budget performance, some are expensive with no performance. LOL, but in your area, i guess since everything is expensive as hell, you can say how much waste a 28000 car is. LOL

with parents.

i appreciate there is more to a car than outright speed, but the T sport is a hot hatch, a 9000rpm redline and variable valve timing, but still slow..
