Mini Ram Install Q's

Well.. it fits and the runners line up nice from what I can tell.. I test fit it w/o gaskets (they are in the mail-nobody around here had a 1205 set)

-Couple things...
1- The oil sender unit on the back of the block.. Mine is HUGE.. about 2 inches around? It seems to be hitting the mini ram not allowing it to slide back as far as I wish it could? Anybody else encounter this... It looks kinda like crap-anybody know if you can get a different one that works?

2 You HSR guys may know this too...there are three plugs on the front of the TPI intake.. one for heater hose, one for temp and the other is?? I think 9th injector?? The mini ram has no provision for the third plug? Anybody know what to do with this? Leave it unhooked...

3 Same for EGR.. I am getting a chip but just leave the plug hanging on the back of the block??

4 Still can't find that vacuum check valve (the one that runs the HVAC--I broke it).. O'Reilly guy had no clue what i was talking about and my father in law couldn't find it on their GM parts list..

5-Injectors--I have one w/a broken plastic tip? Can you swap these from other injectors? How?

6-What size bolts does the TB take?? I am assuming the metric ones don't work from the TPI Intake?

1) You might need to put a 45* angle on it. My vette is that way
2) Cold start injector coolant input. If you use a $6E mask you can delete cold start. (89 chip)
3) Yeah
4) Autozone, like $3
5) Yes, make sure its the same size. Can I see whats broken?
6) I think 5/16x18t but I honestly can't rememeber to be sure.

You can change the tip, just be careful not to bend the metal underneath it when pulling it off. You can buy a kit on ebay that includes the tips, o-rings, and filter baskets for around $15. It's better than trying to remove a tip off another injector and still have it intact.

yeah had that happen also after trying some different elbows and angles still couldn't make it work so i plugged the hole and moved the sensor down to the side of the motor right above the oil filter there was some other oil sensor there that leaked alot any way works fine. as far as the t/b bolts i think i used my factory ones but not 100% on that. double check your water neck you got with it they sent me the corvette one which puts the rad. hose on top of the serp. belt.

Thanks guys..

-Water neck looks good.. it will be DAMN close to the intake charge pipe though.. I hope I can get it on w/the water neck there.
*
I called TPIS today.. they said just try an grind down the back of the intake a little to clear the oil sender.. I am going to try that this weekend and see how close it is.. I like the 45 degree thing too.. may check around on that first.

I am talking w/Ed Wright on getting a chip burned for the car.. I hope that all works out the way I want.. Any pointers/suggestions on chip's for this setup?
---As for the injectors--I don't have pix now.. It is the plastic shroud that goes on the business end of the injector to cover the needle. I am going to see if a local parts store carrys something.. i tried summit and they had nothing of the sort.

For the Oil Pressure Sender, i just used like a 1" brass extension thing i found at Lowes in the plumbing section.

It raised it up enough to clear the intake "notch"

I broke my 3 way vac valve as well - the GM dealer had them in stock for $5 or so. TPIS says to use the TB bolts included in the set they sent out w/the MR. they are NOT the same as the standard TPI bolts.
