aluminum valve covers

Ive have a pair of m/t valve covers i want to polish and i was wondering what was the best stuff to use? ive used mothers and it works ok, but i dont want to spend hours on them.

Ummm, mothers works great, there is a process to polishing beyone just putting the polish on. Try a search.

Then don't polish them. If it only took 5 minutes, everybody would have polished engine bays.

If you want your car to stand out it does take time! If there was a srpay that you could put on and wash off, everyone's car would be mint! It does not happen. If you want YOUR car to look nice, you have to put forth some effort, and believe, it will be worth it and people who know cars will see it! If you don't want to do this, then you just have a car! I have a baby!

Ive searched the old archives and no one gives a step by step instruction on this. Like mark said you cant just polish them, theres a procedure to follow? Any advice?

also, I find if you search the old archives from the main page, it sucks. Down at the bottom of each board's page there is a search box that works a lot better.
