BS Cops

So.. check this, in El Paso Texas, a new trend has started with cops. Im sure its not new elsewhere but it is here. In El Paso our boys in blue recently began upgrading to 2k Impala's ditching the old Caprice's. It would seem that they have also picked up an odd variety of vehicles as well. To date, I have seen 2 "copstangs" without lights, in stock colors. No big deal right.. everyone has undercover cars... these are race traps. Thes *******s ride on the freeway and wait for unsuspecting ricers and racers to provoke them. They will then begin to race them and then switch on their lights half way through the race and pull them over!!! (saw this a few weeks back)

Additionally this past weekend I was chased by a Intrepid (I had enough distance on him to get away in a ford tempo..hehe.) cop car. Unbadged, no exterior lights in a tan color. Looked just like any other intrepid until those flashing headlights came on and he started haulin ***. Point is, cops are trying to screw us over here... shiyet sux ***. Their has to be laws against entrapment or something..

If the car starts to race you and goes over the spped limit with you, and then pulls you over that is called intrapment. Just like if they sit on the side of the road running radar with no lights on it is the same thing. Sorry to hear about your luck, time to get a good radar detector!!

lol, it's funny, people feel they should at least be given a chance when they break the law...if it's a cop in Stang clothing, it shouldn't be no more entrapment then say undercover police work. I always thought if they really wanted to catch people speeding, they'd do up the internals of a minivan and just peg people whenever they feel like it...who'd suspect the Windstar?

Yeah I'm pretty sure they can't go over the speed limit. They have to follow the laws too. We have a couple undercover Stangs around here too... gotta be careful.

Rule 1: **** street racing....

And what the cops are doing is fine....well the whole different car thing , think about every time you see any thing that resemebles a Cop car you take a double look....so they switch to other cars. And as long as they do no provoke a street race then it is cool b/c street racing IS illeagel....If you provoke a car and it is a cop you deserve what is coming to you.

We may not like it, but we can't even try and tell ourselves that what they're doing is wrong or against the law. So long as they don't provoke anything.

You know what you're getting into when ya do it....

If the cop is going the same speed as you, he techically can't pull you over, unless you were speeding first, but say if a cop flys by you. It is legal for you to go the same speed as him. (at least, thats what I heard here in Texas, and I know of a few people who have kept up with cops doing the same speed and not been pulled over).

Plus, a cop cannot pull you over unless you can see police badges on all sides of the car. So a cop cannot pull you over if it was an undercover car. He will have to call for assistance from other police officers.

There has been this white mustang around here that I see speeding by with a red siren on top. Dunno what he is, but he likes to run red lights.

Someone driveing a mustang next to me is more that enough to provoke me to speed. You dont see that kinda stuff her in Dallas though. Maybe in addison or plano but not Dallas or Carrollton. They do sneak up on ya though. Thats how I found out they have Cameras in the Carrollton jail.

I was rolling down I-95 a couple weeks ago and noticed a black SS approaching from the rear so I (knowing theres no way I can handle this car) stepped on the gas anyways. Well the guy in the SS pulled up next to me (we were both doing about 80 in a 55) and tells me to slow down, he had on a police uniform. haha, turns out right around the bend was a radar setup, so the cop helped me out. I bet if I was driving a Stang he wouldnt of did anything.

Well, I'm sure laws vary from State to State. Here is Hawaii is it perfectly legal for undercover cops to patrol in unmarked cars. In fact, alot of the cars are modded and look like racers. They ride on the freeway hoping someone will bait them. I've even heard of some undercover unmarked patrol cars calling people out to race and then busting them when they take off. They deny it later in court and the cop always wins. You know how it is. Unmarked cars I have seen so far (peeking through my illegal tint into their window haha):

Supercharged Nissan Xterra
newer Camaro SS's and WS6 T/A's
newer Mustang Cobras (even Bullets)
Dodge Intrepids
newer Monte Carlos
slow *** SUV's (tahoe's and blazers)

and here is the kicker for Mark ...

yes we have an undercover unmarked Acura Integra Type R patrol car here in Hawaii. It black with intake, a drop, and exhaust.

Entrapment is if the police force you to do something that you would not normally do on you own. So what those cops are doing is not entrapment, if you street race then its your own fault for being stupid. I say good job for the police, they are just using every tool they can to do their job.

I actually think it would be kinda sweet to do that job, better than the normal driving a cop car and pulling people over. Better though if u got a sweet car, like an SS or WS6 to.

But i'm not a cop, so i hate them.

I got a strange one for ya. In Illinois, somewhere on I-57 the police seek out speeders in the last vehicle you would ever think to be a undercover police. It was a white Chrysler minivan. That's right, a minivan. The van follows speeders until a nearby cop car catch up and give the speeder a ticket. NO . Fortunately for me, I was only going 2 mph over the speed limit because my exit was coming up in the next 3 miles.

Those undercover's suck @ss......

Cops will do whatever they damn well please......then it's up to you to show otherwise in court.......Have fun with that one.....

They have bigger fish to fry down here, maybe the murders and tons of drugs that are smuggled in......Not to mention the 9/11 hijackers that were found living down here.....

Undercovers are mainly for narcotics and Grand Theft Auto......

I have had a great history with the Police both in Champaign, IL and Carbondale, IL. They let me get away with so much S#$*, without even pulling me over or giving me a warning.

All I know is, if you're in the Southeast Michigan area, DON'T RACE ANY 4TH GEN PURPLE CAMAROS!!!!!

As far as the Mustang with red lights, he's probably one of those volunteer firemen a$$holes who think those lights mean they are above the law.

Hey guys all this entrapment bullshiit should be enough for you to only race vipers,Vette's,Hot Rods, and all those exotics.
Cops won't have them .
Shouldn't be excessively speeding anyway.
But here in we got racial profiling which is not a lie and if you roll through newark the auto theft squads will race you and then pull you over sometimes.

I think you get pulled over in Nwk if you look like you're doing something illegal-drugs, etc--and being in a bad area. I'm in Nwk everyday and I'm never bothered!

Tonyrodz,
Looks like a wrecked 1997 B4C car to me, not an SS.
But still scary to see in your mirrors with lights flashing!

A Saturn SL2, that must have been emparrassing. Any of you guys see that mad tv skit where the police pulled over a Miata full of gay dudes and the sticker on the car said,

"I'm not gay, but my Miata is."

Maybe the cop in the Saturn should have had that kind of sticker on his car.
