Some Pics of My New Project Car

This is my 87 T/A (I got this car to replace my 84 Firebird which the insurance company totaled after my crash ) It only has 77k miles on it but was'nt maintained and was used as a daily driver. I paid $1300 for it. Ive had it for about a month and a half and been swapping parts over from my 84.

Here's whats been swapped so far. Wheels & Tires, Rear decklid with 91/92 T/A spoiler, 4th gen seats, headiner & and sail panels, 3.73 rear end, including my hotchkis control arms and panhard bar, eibach springs, sway bar, aluminum driveshaft, Complete front suspension, including sway bar, wonder bar, control arms, springs, struts, brakes, all steering linkage, and flowmaster muffler and tailpipes.

I still have to swap the Engine over possibly the Trans also my Ram Air hood & 91/92 T/A Taillights.

I hope this one turns out as nice as my 84 was.

It's kinda nice to have a parts car with mods. I'm hoping by next summer to have it painted. Until then it will multi colored especially when I put the hood on.

when u "totalled" ur car, where did it get hit? Did you have any problems swapping your parts over to a newer car? Your trans am looks like a solid foundation though, good luck w/ the rest of ur swap!

glad you've been able to move on to another car. I have quite a few pics of your old car saved on the old hard drive. Keep up the good work.

Last year I t-boned a kid driving his parents toyota camry. It was his fault. I'm sure my car could have been fixed but the insurance totaled out the car. I have'nt had any problems swapping the parts over. Everything bolted up with no problems.

NOTHING WILL EVER REPLACE THE 84! but I am glad to see that your hard work on the 84 didn't go to waste. Its pretty cool that all the parts have swapped over nicely.

The new ta looks pretty sharp. Good luck with it and its still sad to see that 84 go.

Thats not a project car. The new car looks pretty good though. The 84 looked very good. Not many early 3rd's still looking good.

This is a project car. This my 1988 Firebird Im converting into a TA clone, and doing some major tareing apart in the process.

Its been raining here for the entire summer. Something has to keep the water out of the engine even though Im not keeping it. It was the closest thing to me when I needed something.
