Re: 3rd Gen Models

This thread has inspired me to dig the old Revel/monogram ultra-z Model out and build it. I've almost goth the body ready for primer and today I puth the engine block together. drilling the holes for the ignition wiring and distributor. I'm planning to paint it metaliz blue with a carbon fiber hood (I have carbon fiber decals)
I'll post some pictures of it and the other camaro models that I've built over the years soon.

Dude, I just picked up the Matchbox 82 Firebird art the hobby shop 2 weeks ago for a $1. And I have the Hot Wheels Z28 Highway patrol car. I got the Z28 10 years ago when I used to play with my Hot Wheels. It's all faded now. =(

Re: 3rd Gen Models

I have 13 or 14 third gen trans am models atm. I have only finished one, but I'll get there. I have 3 1:16 scale kits, but I'm too scared to start them yet . And I have a 1:18 die-cast KITT. When are they gonna release those GTA die-casts? They have been due for ages and they keep getting delayed. I'd pre-order a couple of them, but I want to see what the finished product looks like.

Re: 3rd Gen Models

Actually finished this one a few months back. . . fairly out-of-the-box built- red over gold. Not the best 3rd gen model around- lacks interior details. I did what I could to give it an upgraded appearence- Bilstein shocks, Sphon sway bars, ect. Its a re-release of a Revell kit. . .an old snap-tite kit that requires little gluing. I wish the Tamiya model company would do one, but they don't seem that intrested in doing American car kits. . .

Oh, and sorry the pic is bad, was taken with a cell phone.

Re: 3rd Gen Models

I've been building model cars almost all my life, even had a couple on magazine covers. LOL
Been working on this replica of my 1/1 while working on the real one. Made a few modifications to get it to look more like the real thing. Not finished yet.
