Third Gen Headlight Conversion

If anyone is interested in third gen, headlight conversions let me know.
The conversion consists of a new molded housing that has the proper seat for a composite bulb, wether it be a 9004 or an H4.

Improves visibility 100% but that is just my opinion. Happy I bought them.

A; I do belive this is spam.

B; Don't you mean 9003, not 9004. H4 and 9003 is the same bulb, however the 9004 and 9003 are both dual filament bulbs, but the seat is entirely unique.

C; What on earth does this look like?

Newbie huh........maybee to this site but not to cars.

The camaro has a twin beam set up right?
Two different intensities right?
Two different bulbs!!!

9006 low beam
9005 high beam

H4 is primarily a low beam, not a high.

Remember it's not just the way the housing reflects the light but the bulb that is generating the light that makes it a high beam.

And seeing that I have a set in front of me, and I'm looking at them, I'dhave to say your wrong.

Yeah I know there are two different types of bulbs. 9005 and 9006 bulbs will not just plug into your lighting system. It is possible to install them, but its not plug and play by any means. Check this thread here for more info on a 9005/9006 swap. The kits these guys are probably talking about are the direct swaps that will work with our plugs and harness. Low beams (H4656) would get the H4/9003 upgrade, and high beams (H4651) Would get the H1 upgrade. If going that route you would also want to make these changes to the wiring to avoid possible damage to the electrical system. Or could could always stick with the sealed beams and get the respective H4656/H4651 upgrades. In any event, if you are serious about lighting, I recommend you follow the tech article here.

Well I am partially wrong 'cause I was speaking on behalf of my 1994 Camaro. A third gen would get H1 and H4 bulbs. As fas as the wiring diagrams I agree with the larger fuse but the stock wire should suffice....but that is my opinion. And I'll post pics as soon as I can.

The stock wiring sucks just for the stock lamps. Adding a relay kit to stock headlamps improves their lighting ability a noticable amount. But, that's just my opinion..

Hey you guys may know. I was thinking about going from a 12V to a 16V what adverse effects will this have on my electrical system.

This is the kit for a fourth Gen Camaro. Third Gen are a little bigger and have H1 & H4 sockets.

Right building, wrong floor... 4thgen Camaro lights are nothing close to fitting in a camaro or 'bird w/o extensive mods (believe me, I know firsthand). This thread is just plain worthless, pics or not.

To get 4thgen camaro lights to fit a 'bird... you better dig out your creative genes. Here's the size difference in a 4thgen (or elder grand prix) lamp compared to a 3rdgen 'bird...

In the top right pic....if you removed all that plastic and whatnot, wonder if the top would close fully and just leave the camaro light sitting there?

I've got pics on the PC of someone who did (I think) the same thing.

Just have to find em.

well with a few more "Budweiser's" you could have made them fit or at least I get more creative after a few

Does anyone pay attention??

Above the pictures i stated that they are for the fourth gen camaros.....

I'm sorry that I dont have pictures of all the different bulbs at this time.....I will post the others as soon as I can.

I've said it before the bulbs look exactly the same when installed, I only posted the pics to show how the bulb is held into the casing.

AND I DESTROKED MY LT1?? Is that "A PROBLEM"?
in 1968 Duntov got 500hp out of a 302 with the cross ram intake, it was one of the fastest cars ever made for the trans an circuit.

Plus a 302 Camaro in 69 was only a couple tenths of a second slower than the big block version.

So don't knock it.

alot of road race guys like those short stroke/high rev motors. i would think if he is running the dominion heads (after reading what they do) he is planning to spin the bastard to a very high rpm.

Like what mw66nova said, it allows higher revving and since hes waiting for dominions I'm assuming we have a roadracer with us. COOL! Any pics of the car Rocket? I'm very interested in this motor and any info your willing to provide on it.
