I would but 17" SLP's in Hyper black if you dont want any hassle but if you could I think like 15" Cragars or something with that same style would look slick as heck with the white lettering. Tires for the Zr1's are 245/45/17 or like 235/50/17, both are good.

If we go into the all the wheels again my head may explode. I like Boyds, Intro and Boze but if you don't want to spend a lot get the ZR1's.

17's all the way man. Best size and most affordable of the "big" wheels. If you can 18's always look wicked. TT2's are a nice choice, over played, but nice. Try out the new Fuzion or Avon Tech's for low priced, yet good tires. Yoko ES100, Goodyear GS-D3's.

I disagree with the tires, I had some myself and so have my buddies and they've ended up being crap. We stick to BFG, Goodyear, and a couple others.

I would get 17" rims of your choice the front being 17x8 and the rear 17x10 and I would get BFG's tires or the Yokahama ES100

wheel slightly wider or taller?

everyone has TT2's however that's probably for a reason. size depends on budget.

I've always liked my 17" Cragar S/S. Nice rims and not everyone has them, they look good with 245 front and 275 back IMO

I on the other hand have had no luck with the BFG, Conti or Kuhmo. The Fuzion ZRi's have done very good for a few of my friends and one of the cars is a new 402 SLP LS1 stroker. Good street tires, yes they are but no way in hell are the good track tires.
I did order a set of the Avon Tech M550's for a someone and he has had them rotated a few times and everytime he comes in I ask him if they are ok? He just says "Yeah they are, not the best but they are not too bad". Thats the most common answer.
I have Yoko ES100's right now and I do like them.

I think the TT II's w/ the grey spokes and polished lip in 17" w/ raised white letters would look great. However, and this is just me, I think only BFG's look right with the raised white letters.

The white rased letters on the tire screams nascar - so get some 15" black stock-car looking wheels and throw some big rubber on there.

Not my style though...

I just want to point out here that if you do decide on 17", go for a 9" or 9.5" wheel to maximize tire size. You can run a 275-40-17 tire which is as large of an incremental improvement as going from a 215-65-15 to a 245-50-16. Style and manufacturer is up to your aesthetic tastes (most wheel makers offer different wheel widths).

I work in a tire shop and to chime in....
Stay away from goodyears, except the eagle f1's. Michelins are good for comfort and quality but arent as good at handling as BFGoodrich KDW's or KD's because michelins have a thinner sidewall. Plus, michelins tend to cost more size for size than BFG's. So my recommendation is BFG g-force KDW or KD.

I try and only buy from trustworthy companies that have been making tires for a while. My family and I have bought Yokohamas a few times and they all have had major quality problems.

They have been making tires longer than you think. Since the 60's. They did have some problems, a lot with the first design of the the Geolander H/T. I think that a lot of the problems have been dealt with. Its just that the oddball guys get looked at more. Who here knows how bad Continental tires have been as of about 3 years ago? Seperations like crazy. Or that Goodyear was on the brink of bankrupcy a few years back?
It all depends, its not all in the name folks. Cooper Zeon's are damn good tires but you'll never see them praised as much as BFG's, Mich's, Bridgestones etc. My .02

Here's TT 2's and yokohoma ES 100 (245 45 16'S) Ran about $400 for the tires and $700 for the rims. I am very pleased with both the tires and rims so far.

I'd think that 18" rims...maybe even 17 would look a bit out of place on a stock suspension. Like jeff said....lots of thirdgens (both on this site and off) have the crager/tt2 design....it's like the unofficial 5-spoke wheel of american sport cars (old and newer). IMO though, if you're gonna do the tt2 design, especially with an old school look (white raised letters)....I'd attempt to make the car look more muscular than sleek (maybe a rake in the suspension, no gfx- if you dont have them already).

Budget being the biggest factor, you have to answer the question yourself....with what I purchase, will it A) satisfy what I desired , and B) Is it worth the investment .

From personal experience,
I can vouch that my wheels did both, though I had a hard time convincing myself to pay such a high price for them. 11 weeks later I put them on, and it completed the appearance of my car and caught alot more peoples attention (which is why I say it's an investment...jeff said it best when I was talking to him about seats for my car.....'seats are alot like wheels, you may pay alot, but shouldnt your car sit on something just as nice as what you do and vise versa?'....it was something like that anyways.) You may want to go cheap because it's in your budget and you want the look....but what happens a month/year etc from now when you still arent satisfied because you didnt bite the bullet and go for it?

I probably ranted more than I should have (about 2 cents more than needed). Take it with a grain of salt, or gain a useful opinion from it, but make sure you do your homework and search everywhere for prices and deals....its the long route, but the safe one....my rant has concluded. good luck

P.S. - just for reference in what a difference my wheels made to the appearance heres the stock vs new (I kinda wanted to ***** a pic or two off too )

Bolt pattern is the same for the 91 as it is with all F-Bodies 5-4.75.
