Here's a pic of the Camaro I'm buying...I see potential.

(143kb pic,sorry)

http://www.geocities.com/gbelectra/burgandycamaro.jpg

I am going to visit the car and look it over on sunday. I am going to get the VIN number from the guy tonight to decode and see exactly what the car comes with.

What do you guys think? The right front fender needs to be straighened/replaced and there is a dent behind the passenger door, but the car has NEVER been wrecked, and only has 109k miles on it.

I want to get it repainted. I am wondering tho,the car has no AC. So you think I should stray from light colors? Its a dark color paintjob to begin with, could I have this car painted white without it looking crummy?

Hmm...White,or teal...decisions decisions...

I definatly know that metallic window tint is going on the car to help reflect heat...

For $800,I dont think this car is half bad.

Hey sounds like a pretty good deal for $800. Wish I could find stuff like that around here. Why not just paint it the factory color, if you paint it a different color then you have to worry about all the underhood paint, door jambs, etc. It would be a lot more work and money on your part. If you want it done right anyways that is. The VIN won't really tell you a whole lot about the car, you probably already know everything the VIN will tell you, the RPO codes on the other hand though will tell you all the options the car came with.
And the car has no AC? Did the previous owner remove it or what?

Mine was 750 . But I had to put about 2000 in it counting paint job to get it where it's at. Take a look at my page to check it out.

The guy says it had A/C delete from the factory! He says the heater is there tho. He hasnt spent very much time on the car as he baught it from auction a month or two ago and has only been in the car once or twice since then. So he MIGHT be mistaken,I hope atleast.
I dont like the color of the car right now. If I get it repainted,I can do the doorjams and under the hood myself.

Did ALL '89 RS's have AC???

Also,notice the sunroof?

Dunno about that year, but in 86 a/c was an option...an option that my Sport Coupe didn't come with.

Too bad you don't live closer to WA. I'm selling my '85 Z28. It has a TPI 305, 700R4 tranny, and 3.23 gears. Mods include: MSD-6A, Accel HEI Super coil and 8.8mm wires, Dynacraft trans cooler, Random Technology high flow cat, Flowmaster cat-back and muffler, new MAF sensor, new radiator, new fuel pump, and smog delete. It is fast with instant throttle response! Here is the only pic I have of it.

I got my Sport Coupe for $475! Sure the body needed some TLC, but there were no major dents, there was no rust, and the motor was solid, so how can I complain? I'm currently fixing it up. Check my site for progress.

I'm putting money on it on sunday when I go to check it out...Dont worry,I'm getting it.

It shall look quite awesome painted white, black trim and metallic window tint all around and on top also on the sunroof I decided this is just gonna hold me over untill I find a nice IROC then I think I'll keep this one as a beater or give it to my next girlfriend if she needs a car,I think that would score me a few points with her

You could get an A/C delete on any third-gen Camaro. The code is C41 on the RPO label.
