ok here is how the decals go. the interior color goes on top. then the black stripe on bottom. and the IROC-Z decal goes to the front of the door. and there are decals under the rocker Z28's that read TUNRD PORT INJECTION. and on the back bumper on the drivers side read the same. with the Z28 badge on the passanger side.
for the stripes that i talked about in the beginning. those go right above your ground effects. and you can order these from Classic Industries. they have GM duplicates. they are expenive just for a vinyl strip but they are authentic.
hope i helped. any questions just ask.

RARE-ROC,
what year is that for? Im pretty sure in 85 and 86 the big IROC decals were placed near the back of the door, or so i thought..., i know the pinstripping changed at one point too, so could you tell me what year that was for? thanks for your help, i really appreciate it...

1985-1987 are the same placement on the car and color, silver/black (86A) is your stripe code. 1988-1990 the stripe colors got reversed with the black on top and silver on bottom and the IROC-Z door decal was moved to the rear of the door. Good luck on your resto project.

yeah like david just said. the door decals were in the back from 85-87 and the interior color was the top layer of striping with the bottom being black. i have a 1990 so my door decal is towards the back of the door and the black strip is on top. i will show you a pic of my car for reference of the 88-90 irocs

hope i helped man. and i want to see a bunch of pics of your project. i really love to watch cars develop. its like watching a baby being born.

http://iroc.fbody.com has numerous pictures of each year car. I've got about 300 more that I still need to post.
