Pet hair

I just bought me a 89 rs droptop and am trying to get the interior some what clean till I can replace some of it. The only problem is he liked to take his horse(Great dane) along him for rides. So the WHOLE car is covered with dog hair! I tried just about everything I can think of and nothing really works. Is there anything out there that might work that I haven't tried yet. Thanks in advance for the help!! Adam :-)

Try to spray over it with window cleaner dont soak it. Then then run the vaccum cleaner over it may take a couple times but it will start to lift up.

Use duct tape. Make a glove with the tape by wrapping it around your hand with the sticky side out...start patting it down. Use warm duct tape its sticker when its warmer....had a co-worker who had a nice ride and several dogs...worked great for her...

Tried it. If the hair was fresh and laying on top. That would work fine. But I am not that lucky. lol. It's like meshed in. Adam :-)

some of these ideas sound better than mine, but when I clean a car with pet hair, I usually vac, then clean with foaming carpet cleaner, let dry, then vac. again... isn't perfect but it gets most of it.

I'm trying that method. It seems to be working. But it's a pain in the ***! I'm just going to work on the parts that are in nice condition and just buy a new front carpet set since it needs to be replaced anyways. The rest of the interior is in great condition. Plus there convertible parts. And those are going to be hard to find. Adam :-)

get it off the seats and if you cant get any more out of the carpet using the duck tape method paint the carpet with a good spray paint.

mask things off like the bottom of the center console and the sill plates

PetCo or PetsMart sell brushes just for removing pet hair from upholstery. Also, Meguiar's makes a brush just for this purpose and I hear it works great.....product link

I think I might try it. For $3.99, why not give it a shot. They say it makes a static electrical charge to lift the hair out. And that's the problem I am having. I can't get it to lift out. Adam :-)

Wear a pair of rubber gloves and drag your hand across the areas needed to be cleaned.

You could torch the interior and than pick up some new interior. I used my bare hands and some sand paper on my mats when I got my car. Worked decent, nothing great, but the hair was still gone.
