HA!!!
is THAT it??? because people here are bigots? or is it because most "urban" automotive trends are stupid and ridiculous - poor in taste and woefully deficient in common sense?

Re: 22s and up??
actually, this whole thread is pretty damned funny to me.
obviously, when talking about "22's and up" we're talking about "Donk ****". we're not talking about any kind of performance upgrade or any aesthetic modification meant to "complement" the rest of the car.
the problem with "Donkish" wheels - especially on our beloved Third Gen platform is that it is entirely indefensible. yes, everyone is entitled to do as they please to their property, but here, you've come to the wrong place for any love, encouragement, corroboration, or even acceptance - because what you're doing is an abomination steeped in ignorance.
what i also find humorous is that the reason this thread does not die is because non-members keep finding this thread, and then registering as TGO members just to defend their...crimes against good taste.

turns heads? probably. i know i would have to do a double-take if i saw something like that.

Congratulations. You played yourself.

Question.... Is there ANYONE on this forum that isn't against the whole big rims thing?
Before you guys rip my head off, just think about it for me. Not everyone looks at these cars for the speed factor. There are many of us dumping money into our cars for nothing but aesthetics. What makes having bigger rims any different from any other non-functional modification?
I know there are a few downfalls to using bigger rims on our cars. But when I searched a few of the other people who attempted to make a thread like this, most of the negatives behind them were exaggerated. I'm part of a car club where many of our members have larger than normal wheels. The ride quality on most cars, depending on how the cars suspension was done, was the same after putting the rims up there. Two of my friends have 3rd gen Camaros on 24 inch rims. They aren't much slower than my stock Trans Am. And their speedometers may be off by about 10 at the most on the highway. And I've never heard of anyone having damage from a pothole, except my friend with a 4th gen Camaro on 24s hitting a curb at 35mph last weekend and cracking his rim.
I'm making this thread because I know I'm not alone. There are more Camaros than I could count on rims 22s or bigger. I haven't seen many Trans Ams so I thought that I would make that one of my projects.

I have a 85 iroc z and have 22s on it and my personal opion they look better with a bigger wheel but again it's a culture thing. Do your thing and never come on one of these types of forums for looking for validation. ✊🏾
