This is a Nomination Thread for cars that will compete for this month's Car of the Month honor. The most popularly nominated cars will be compiled into a Voting Thread within a couple weeks.

You can either nominate somebody else's car, or second a nomination (but not both). Cars must have a second nomination in order to make it to the Voting Thread.


Nomination Guidelines

• Nominations must be of high quality, finished state, and in working order. No unrealistic, overly processed images. Please accompany the nomination with,
  • a single large, high quality photo
  • name of TGO member (with proper caps and spaces)
  • year, make, and model of car

• Do not nominate your own car. Your car must be nominated by another TGO member. Cars must have a second nomination in order to continue to the Voting Thread.

• Likewise, do not ask another family member or friend to join TGO for the purpose of nominating your car. Do not use multiple member accounts to nominate your own car.

• Do not nominate more than one car.

• If you are nominated, please DO go out and take an abundance of good quality photos of your car (multiple angles, interior, engine) and make them publicly accessible (for example via a photo album in your public profile, or some sort of hyperlink to your photo album).

Just wanted to say how grateful I am for being nominated for COTM.

 

I'd like to nominate Bagged 1LE and his killer looking 91 1LE, 5 speed Z28. He's a new member and I'd love to see more of this car!

thanks guys! The car is actually one of the rare 1LE versions and was a total garage find from a family friend. All original interior 5 speed and 305 with 53k now. I keep adding parts to it and haven’t got really good photos of all the new parts yet.

Go ahead and start working up some good pictures inside, out, engine bay. A video if you want (we never have enough of those around here!). And whatever story you want to share. Damn... that '82 - '83 T/A looks SOOOOOO good!

 

I nominate my 91 formula, T-top, built 355 with stage 3 bowtie overdrives 700-r4, 750 edelbrock, 1-3/4 slp shorties, custom Y pipe, borla cat-back (no cat) with electric cut-out on open side. Was gonna wait to nominate till I get a “real” hood but that’s not in the cards this year so let’s give it a shot.

here’s a vid of 2nd start up after rebuild my first motor build. Got about 900miles throughout the summer and has been good and strong. Thanks for looking!

 

I believe you cannot nominate yourself. I could be wrong.

 

oooh I do see that in the “rules” now. Well that’s stupid! Who came up with that rule?!? Why? What purpose does that serve? I vote to change that rule.

 

Because we would have thousand nominations every month.

Every now and then there IS a self nomination month.

Since there is only 3 cars so far that are nominated, hopefully they'll let you in, or someone else will nominate you. I would, but I already nominated the white Camaro.

I like to look for the new guys to nominate....it helps bring some enthusiasm to the site from the new guys

 

I was extremely honored when my car got nominated a couple months ago, didn’t win but I don’t care it was just nice to be nominated, especially being a new member.

 

About the older black T/A - what is that wheel option, don't see that too often?

I can respect both but...damn that seems like a narrow field. Just my $.02

 

Welcome to TGO!

There is a COTM bait thread, where people post a few pics and a little info on their cars if they want to get a nomination.

I look there for people to nominate, or I look through car show threads, etc. If I see something I like, I try to make a mental note about it and nominate them when I can. Like I said before, I like to try to get new people involved as much as I can....but sometimes I'll run across a member that has been here for years and for whatever reason has stayed under the radar and never been nominated.

Someone needs to nominate that silver IROC in the original post....or I will nominate him next month. That car looks gorgeous!

FormulaGTArs, I'm going to ask that you sit it out this month. You didn't read the rules, abide by the rules, or agree with the rules so it would be good to just watch how things work and you'll be a pro at this shortly.

Also, it is every member's responsibility to vet their nominations and I'm not yet convinced that happened in this case. Hope to see the car back again after proper vetting.
