Hey IROCthe5.7L thats my car ! It's the factory color in the 86 brochure "Dark red metallic" I believe.... Thanks for the compliment, but I have always had a thing for black cars!!! If she ever gets re-painted it's gonna be black!(just like yours)

Here's my car. You can compare the red with the barn red in the background. Understand that the barn red is really dark because it's a few years old. Mine is a candy apple red that's turning into more of a flame red with age.

not to be biased or anything, but i am going to have to vote the color of my car and bimma86's car,the dark red metallic.when shiny i think it accents the cars lines alot better than bright red.it just looks deeper.

i am partial to the dark metallic red that came stock on my 91!
although, i can't speak much as i also was taken by a true candy color!
it's ashame, pictures can't do candy colors justice; that an i need a digital camera.

I like the maroon paints. My RS was painted Ford Toreador Red and my IROC is Dodge Ruby Red Pearl Coat. I also like the Laser Red Ford uses on the Mustang.
I would like to see Kandied91z’s car. I am surprised I did not see it at the Camaro Superfest last summer. Were you there on Saturday or only Sunday?

My clean little 86 Sports Coupe
The RPO says it is "Victory Red" but the paint can says "Flame Red Metallic." Go figure.

that looks like the spoiler off my rc car!
yeah, yeah, EvilCartman my program won't let me crop it for some reason and i'm too cheap to buy a nice photo program, let alone a nice digital camera.
White Ninja, thanks for the compliment.......the color is a dupont gold with a heavy metallic mix, then add house of colors red clear with a touch of pearl clear.........alright maybe 5 or six touches and the voila, stand back!
as far as the spoiler it's stock on all 1991-92 z28 camaro coupes.
Chuck Everly, i don't know why but your name sounds so familiar. how long were you at the show?
unfortunately, i had my car completely dissassembled 48 hours prior to the show..........worked my *** off trying to get it back together to a somewhat respectible form and ended up sleeping at the hotel all of friday and saturday..........so i only showed the car on sunday.
i really learned my lesson...........next year i'm making sure i'm done a week prior at least.
whom i kidding, it'll probably happen to me this year too!

My name may sound familiar because I used to moderate this board.
We are having an Ohio gathering this year for the nethirdgen.org group. You should stop by.

Your RPO list actually says that on it? My list in the console is just the list of codes, 74U being the color code. Did you use a RPO decoder somewhere? Maybe that's messed up???

I did not have my car there. My car has been apart for 3 years.
The gathering is going to be held in Loudenville, it is half way between Cleveland and Columbus.

Another pic
All my pics were taken using one of those $5 Kodak disposable 35mm cameras. It took a fair bit of massaging with ACDSee and Paint Shop Pro 7.4 to get what you see here
