88aziroc IS A PUNK

This may not be the way to handel this, but you have done knocked me over the boiling point.

My posts have been rare in the past 7 months since I started my forum, and I get on here and some new moderator is sending me a PM making all kinds of threats how he is gonna do away with me and delete everything I post.

I can't even make a simple reply about leaking t-tops to thank someone for their help, becuase you DELETE it.

This was the reason for one of my other forums being shut down... but why don't you just ban the mod?

Well I really hope one of our members dosnt get banned because he has a problem with one of the mods. As I understand it, the mods are here to keep the posts clean and on topic, not to ban people who say naughty things over PM. Because you hold a position of responsibility, you have to put personal stuff aside. I know you're mad now (about whatever was said), but as long as the boards arent being afected, I think you should let time heal the wounds. I've had 'run ins' with mods before. I'm happy they were mature enough to ignore the stupid stuff I was saying. Now I get along with them great. Just give it some time bro.

OK, well I just read that other post that was locked.

Maybe you both should let "cooler heads prevail" and try to work this out later.

Can't we all just get along?

I know what you guys mean. But some of the Guys/Gals in here havent posted in a while since some of the other members/ Mods have shown less restrant with some of the members that have made comments. Its pretty bad when a Member is shoving someone to a thread or a Idea just because they want to know some information that no one can give them. Then when someone points it out aMod will come along & tell that person that pointed it out that they were guiding them toward that thread. I know I dont post that much unless its at the Cascade crew area.

Mainly stay on forums like GMforums or CZ28.com.

Just to clarify. Pennyless made a crude comment on another thread. As a moderator of that board, I deleted his comment. I simply sent him a PM and asked him not to post rude or vulgar comments. As he was already on probation, I just let him know that if it continued that he would POSSIBLY be banned. I have kept all the PM's between the both of us and have forwarded them to Dirk so he could make the call on who was being rude or unproffesional.
Pennyless says that I am on a powertrip? I try to be helpful to all and only lock or edit posts that have nothing to do with the board or third gens. I do try to keep this board on topic and I dont want anyone to flame or start fights. I have only locked two threads and deleted about 10 posts. How is this on a powertrip? As far as I am concerned, he does not need to post on this board if he wants to act in this manner.
I will leave this post open for a while. If another mod wants to lock it, so be it.

It is better They have an area that we can talk about Almost ANYTHING & you dont get Flamed for saying something even if it is wrong. (if its wrong they either just ignore it or nicely tell you you are wrong)

here you cant talk about anything thats not 3rd gen related. I own 2 3rd Gens & a 4th gen. So I get most of my information from them. Most of what they put out is true answers. Its also one of the boards that Gets most of its information directly from Sources at GM. Unlike this place that gets it 2nd hand

Well if all the info here is wrong, why are you still visiting the board?

I find this site very usefull, and the fact that its all tech makes it much easier to search for info. Unlike what Krazzy thinks, I think most of the info here is correct. And as far as second hand info, I don't think there is much new info on 3rd gens to get firsthand from GM now anyhow. I appreciate all the helpful info I have received here.
Keep it up all!!

Thats the whole point of a lounge.

And why woudl we talk about station wagons on a third gen board?

Thier thirdgen board is horrible, their appearance/show/shine section is **** fied etc.

Much rather post at ls1.com for 4th gens.

I remeber back int he old days (like 98) all it was, a giant misinformation pot......

Interesting thread...

Anyhoo, CZ28 is practically all 4th gens, and yes, their 3rd gen forum is a joke. They really have no idea what they're saying in there.

As for the misinformation on here, I disagree. Lots of good first hand info, and I try to post info and part numbers straight from the GM manual.

IMO ... I really enjoy this site and these boards. If you think your getting treated unfairly and don't like the moderators, then don't go on the boards anymore. I've never had a problem. Simple as that.

Common sense would demand that if individuals are dissatisfied with a site, for whatever the reason, they should simply find a site more suitable to their needs. All involved will be more content.

I have to side with the mods on this one, although I find pennyless amusing, he does say some dumb things like when he berated mexicans for being stupid and constantly putting new members down when they proudly show off their car picks or new ideas. He may have some problems at home or with his personal (he may have a small weiner). I guess acting like a snob and bigshot gives him a hardon.

Mike,

You have made a habit of pushing things to the breaking point ever since I've been a member here.

Try doing this and you won't have any more problems: "Do and say unto others as I'd want them to do and say unto me."

You've claimed to be a Christian in earlier posts. Try practising your religion and you won't have so many problems here.

IMO.... Yes, this board needs a lounge. Yes, 75% of the info you get is wrong which is why you need to know who gives good info, and who gives bad info. Yes, the moderators need to chill out sometimes. And yes, ppl get flamed for stupid $hi*. But thats no reason to b1tch everyone out and throw a temper tantrum and up and leave the boards. This is a place to come in and have some fun and try to help some other ppl out. Take some time and have a chiller man. Dont be a d1ck.

And IMO, No, the board does not need a lounge. Thats just a place for people to post anything they want and start more flame wars. If members wanna talk about anything, most nights someone gets a chat room going with a bunch of the members.

This is my favirote board to frequent, why you may ask? Because its a tech only board. I can always get correct infomation from other members and I share my knowledge "what bit I do have" to help others. A lounge board "just like before"would just start flame wars and it would spread its way over to the tech boards. Then this board would not be as good as it is now if everyone was fighting with each other. Besides like MetalliCamaroRS said we do have a place to chat with other members located here > https://www.thirdgen.org/chat/ Mods please lock this post before it gets way outta hand.

Ok, I guess this has gone on long enough. I just left it open to let some people vent. I wanted to let Pennyless get his feeling out in the open and make sure no one else has a grudge against any of the mods on this board. For the most part, most of us are open and understanding. Sometimes we do seem like *****, but that is part of our job. Most folks dont see the whole picture, ie: the PM's and the emails that we get. I know that I will not lock or delete a thread if it gets a LITTLE off topic. This is a tech forum. Lets keep it clean, because a lot of people view these pages at work. Some are just offended by some of the posts. If you have any questions as to why we do what we do, just send the mods of the board a PM or email. Most of us would be happy to let you know the reason for what we did.

Well, I had to open this thread just to add some information to some of the responces about a lounge. A lot of the people that post to this forum are relatively new to the site and were not here when this site had a non-tech section. Let's just say it got messy, so Dirk took the whole site down for a couple weeks. It was determined by Dirk that the main purpose of the site was to spread good technical information to those that want it, so when he brought the site back, non-tech was eliminated. It was also the birth of www.nethirdgen.org This is where all the non-tech issues unofficially went. So, with that said, back to being closed...
