Not for shift indicator. I just replaced mine with a 135, and HVAC I have no idea.

im pretty sure that all the bulbs in the interior with the exception of the dome light and the rear hatch area light were 194. i know for sure that the bulbs for the dummy lights the dual lighted mirror and the shift indicator were 194. this was in a camaro

Well, I know, since I just replaced it, that the shift light is a 135, and it's the same in the Cavalier I drive everyday. I have both spares, and the 194 is way too big to fit in the tiny socket the 135 needs.

The shift indicator on my 84 Camaro is a 194?

Maybe they changed through out the years?

Might be different for the 'bird, I don't know, but I am absolutely sure that mine is a 135. Of course, I do have an 87 too, so that may make a difference.

Camaros use the 194 bulb in the interior with the exception of the dome light, the rear cargo light, map lights, and (for the models that have it) the little light in the dash above the air vents. I know because I just changed them all out in my car (89 Iroc-Z) recently.

162 bulbs look just like 194s but are dimmer....so I would use 194s wherever any 162s go, just so it'd light up brighter..

Just my 2 cents
