Wrecked the IROC:(

I slid into a tree sideways and it clipped my right rear quarter at like 20mph the quarter panel is pushed in behind the wheel well considerably, underneath is all staright the bumper cover is ripped off and hanging from the car the panel that goes across and where the liscense plate is mounted too is bent halfway can thatr be cut out and welded??my bodyman looked at it and says he can fix it but its gonna be almost 3k maybe hes still working on a estimate I told him to see if he could find a 91 92 style spoiler I might just junk the iroc and look for a 350 thirdgen, like a gta or formula or another iroc with a 350 I dunno I had a bad week I cant even look at my car it just makes me sad

Ouch!! Sorry to hear about your bad fortune man. Too bad you're not in Hawaii, cause I would help take that car off your hands Hope everything works out though.

Scrounge up another 3-5k, spend a little time on autotrader or eBay, and you'll have yourself another Camaro in no time - and you'll have yourself a parts car.

That's what I did when I wrecked my '91 RS last year. I took the opportunity to upgrad to a Z28 with t-tops, leather, and every option under the sun for a nice 4k.

Just tryin' to help ya look at the bright side.

Sorry to hear! But if it comes down to where they total out the car. Then you can always buy it back. Because it seems that you have alot of money into the mods and you can always pick up a cheap 3rd gen and have ur IROC as the parts car. 3rd gens with 305's and nice body's that need work go for like 1 grand. Just a thought.

Good point, if you're adept at body work or money is an issue that is a good avenue to take. In my case, I know nothing about body work or painting so I did better just to shell out the money for an already nice car.

I suspect that truly, if I did indeed have such skills, I would've come out better in the end. Oh well, we all do what we have to do for the things we love!

When did you buy it?... I think I almost bought your car...

When I wrecked my first RS I kept it at my house til I got another so I could switch parts if need be. All I ended up needed was the wheels... shoulda swited the custom cloth seats but oh well.. and then I let insurance take it away and gimmie money!
