WS6 ram air hood VS SS hood

hey guys, I'm undecided which hood to go for. I've seen a couple pics of the WS6 ram air hood, and thought it looked really cool, and haven't seen one on a camaro locally, but on other vehicles recently. anyways I was totally up on that until I saw that style of hood on one of the fellow members rides, black one I think, and it didn't look that great after I saw it, maybe it was the color or bad angles, but has anyone seen this in person. if so what was it like? look as good as the good pictures? lol

and the SS. does it have an open rear at the back like a cowl? if you could post some pix please do

cheers

Blake

mine looks really good, but i don't know where you got your from with the back shut like that.......mine has the cowl style inlet with 2 large hot-air extractors with the screens plus the front of the hood is fully functional..the only backdraw to this hood is..all the dust gets ur pretty engine compartment soooo dirty unless you have some sort of ram air set up for it but other than thant its a clean lookin hood

hope you make the right choice!

it would be very easy to cut the back of it out.....just use a die grinder and some sand paper...and there ya go. There are a few people on this site that have midified it with no problems. I like the back of it....it's molded just like the 96-97 SS hoods....i like not being able not to see my engine through my windshield. My brother has the Big Block hood on his 87..and you can see the engine and stuff....just not a big fan. Good luck on your decision!

It's actually a friend of mine..I'm just trying to sell it for him...I already have an SS hood on my 91. He used it for about 3 months....but decided he didn't want it....he wants $400....might take a little less...I had it posted on the classifieds awhile back..
