Guys w/ a Triple Pillar?

I just bought one. After I install the triple pillar, will I still be able to remove the dash pad? I want to install some gauge overlays eventually w/ out the hassle. So if I wont be able to remove the dash w/ out taking the pillar off, I will wait to install the pillar pod!

I didn't have to remove the dash pad to install my overlays.

The pillar is a tight fit.. very tight. You might be able to wrestle the dashpad out from under it, but I would just remove the pillar just in case to prevent breaking something.

do they make one for non-ttop cars? i have a hardtop and the only option i think i have right now is going with a single and a dual and just trimming it up to make it look half-way decent.

When i ordered mine triple form autometer, there was ones for hardtops. i don't remember the part # bit there we 2 different ones for a hardtop and t-top.
I have never tried but you might be able to slip the dashpad off by pulling it out towards the back of the cr when it's installed. when i have had to take out my gauge cluster i have never had to remove the dash pad.

I want to get the overlay's from mcewen, but I guess I should do those first so that I don't have to worry about the pillar being in the way! I just want to get them in the car!

Pillar needs to be removed since it rests on the pad, at least it did on my 86,
