I've got a 90 firebird, but i'm pretty sure it's got a trans-am body kit. i need a new front bumper cover, so what should i be looking/asking for. Thanks

Your info says its a 5.7L, have you tried running the VIN thru CarFax or anything to see what the VIN shows? That will tell you if it's base model or T/A

could it just be a base firebird with a 5.7 dropped into it? Or maybe it's actually a 5.0? I'm sure that the Trans am hoods come with the vents but I only see the stock Firebird hood in the pic(unless that was changed as well). What kind of lights do you ahve on the back? If it has the red brake, white reverse, and yellow turn then it's a Firebird. Oh...and any Trans Am nose from I think 85 - 90 should fit

actually, it had a v6 in it, and i did a motorswap. the vin checks back as a 90 firebird, but i thought they all had that sort of wave look where the sideskirts start to curl up. could this be stock on a 90 f-bird/trans am?

nope nope....that there is a Firebird! I believe the Trans Am body package, bumpers, side skirts, fog lights etc etc...was an option that became available in I think late 1989. Firebirds kept the stock non Trans Am hood though.

You're looking for 1985-90 Trans Am or 90 base Firebird nose or ground effects.
In either 1988 or 89 there was a test run of base Firebirds built with the Trans Am "appearance package" to be sold in California and somewhere in Colorado. They were called Firebird-XS and Firebird-SSA. They sold very well and the T/A appearance package became standard on the base Firebird for the remaining of the 3rd-gen production.
