I love those lights too!
Like you, I had to get a set myself!
I also have one set with separation of the bleck tint, but I hope to find some NOS covers sometime.

I just picked up some TA tails and went to put them on but the lights for the blinker sticks out too far and the light won't go back all the way.

any suggestions

What a difference! I wish I could find a set of those lights for less than I know they are worth.

If you can't find them,
I just got extra pigtails off a '85-'90 Trans Am, just cut off the reverse light ones.
Tied them into the end unit on each side, and just tiewired plastic baggies around the small light pigtails. Stuffed the non-use pigtails below the bumper, and put everything together.
Works like a champ!
Somewhere, someone sells the "Pontiac" scripe for the taillights. But the serch is down right now. I need the decal too.

Hope this helps,

George

Here's the link: http://www.autografics.com/pages/birds3.htm

I just got the letters for my taillights, but I haven't put them on yet. I can tell you that they come with the wrong spacing. You have to remove each letter individually and hand-position it over the faded-out letter on the taillight. I don't know what color they're supposed to be, but I got dark metallic charcoal gray for mine. You can get any color you want.

Heyyyyyyyyyyy.

I like that and it looks familiar.

Oh wait I did that last year on my 91 Formula :-)

We should start a 91-92 Formula with 91-92 TA taillite support group :-)

later

I think to really pull those taillights off, one needs a 91/2 specific rear bumper with the inch or so of flat surface below the taillights. Looks good on yours, but I just can't see how others like them with 90 or earlier style bumpers.

Thanks Firebird 383!
Thanks for the head's up on the spacing too.
Is the height goo, or are they different too?
Mine still show, just faded real bad.
BTW, they are red in color, stock.
