metal door sills? still around?

i hope i get some positive feed on this, but a while back there were some metal door sills being made and were going around a little and info leaked onto this board from a member. like i said, that was a while back and i cant remmeber what member brought it up or if they were being mass produced some where, but i WANT A PAIR!!! I dont know if they were billet, polished steel, stainless steel, or what but the few picks i saw of them were incredible. if anybody knows where they can be found, please reply!

As far as I know none are available or being sold by anyone on here at the moment. Jim85IROC was trying to get sets mass produced for us a while back, but problems arose with his supplier. Here's the thread on it though... https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/auto...oor-sills.html There is a seller on E-Bay though that does sell diamond plated aluminum door sill plates. These however are only plates and not the sills themselves...

I've given up on that vendor that I was working with. He was a pain in the ***, and the quality of the 4th gen set he sent me wasn't really that nice. When I get time I'm gong to revisit the idea and try to find a more competent vendor that can do what I want. I have a couple different designs in mind.

its really a good idea to stick with because they dont make the original sills anymore. Well, atleast for the pasenger side, ive only seen driver side sills for sell.

I had bought a set of them. But in all honesty they were not that nice. They were advertised as laser cut but were very rough around the edges. Not to mention did not fit flat aginst the door sill area. I ended up reselling them on here to someone. They probalby would have been nice if someone wanted to put a few hours of work into them...............jt

here are the pics . I think they were cut fine, i think they were cut with a water jet by the way the cuts look. And mine fit fine too.

it would just be nice to have those things in any f-body. Little things like that do so much for the interior and exterior of cars in general.
