subframe replacement?

hey you guys i have one more quick question. is it possible to have your car put on a frame machine and pulled straight then replace a complete rear subframe. the reason im asking is the car im restoring has its rear right subframe bent and cracked open and im pretty sure im goin to have to replace the quater pannel as well.
thanks

With a unibody car you cant just replace the subframe because their isin't one it is all welded together if the damage is not too extensive a good shop can do a PULL on it and restore it to pre crash condition which will sometimes require parts replacement but it must be welded in on an alignment fixture ..

a 4link with a panhard bar is completely streetable... however you will occasionally want to replace the rod ends as they will eventually wear out some, and make "knocking" noises that can be very annoying.

if you plan on a decent amount of street driving, you can make them last longer by putting rubber sealing "booties" on the rod ends... but they all wear out eventually.

dont waste your time calling BMR, UMI, Spohn or any other bolt on part company.

there is only two ways to do this.

1. do it yourself... THEN you look at comp engineering, S&W, ect... and buy parts to BUILD it yourself.

or most likely

2. take the car to a compatant chassis shop. this does cost a good chunk of money, but you can have a streetable race car afterward.....

also for this to make any sense, you'll also have a cage put in at the same time.. and id expect you woudl atleast PLAN on building a powerful drivetrain....

We have done a few chassis kits on 3rd gen cars in the last couple of years with ladder bar or four link set ups mostly Chassis Engineering / Alston kits (these are mostly drag race / Pro Street cars) but I have seen other more street oriented kits out there .. they are quite work intensive and a challange to install at home but they can be done by someone with Good welding experiance and the space to set up and measure a frame ...
