I need help trying to identify this aftermarket notchback style hatch.

Hey,

I have a fiberglass hatch I'm trying to identify so I can sell. It is off an 87 Camaro originally. The Camaro had a wide body kit and this hatch. I bought it from the guy but never got around to installing it. It looks like the GTA notchback GM made but with some Ferrari style louvered side panels built into the structure. Kind of like the later style Fieros had glass windows that didn't really have a function. Like I said it is fiberglass with a metal tube infrastructure. It also comes with some plastic interior pieces. It has/had a third brake light built in and a small flat vertical rear window. The window is not present though. So who might have made it?? I will try to get some pics of it up here soon.

Thanx for your thoughts.

Think I have one like that on my 83 TA. But, don´t know what brand it is. Is exactly as you described, but probably has been on my car since 1984 since that is when the car was imported here to Norway. Maybe I can take a picture of it someday if you are interested in knowing if it´s the same hatch.

YES, If you can post a picture of yours and it's the same that will be great. It might be awhile until I can get to the hatch in my garages loft.

Thanx

Here are a couple of pictures om my car. They are not of very good quality, because I used my cell phone to take them and the lighting was poor.
But anyway should be enough to see if it´s the same hatch.

It is very close to that. The fins on the side are more smoothed in kind of. Your hatch would look almost identical with a few subtle differences. I will try to get it down and snap a pic or two. Do you have any higher resolution pics so I could get an idea of what the one I have may look like on my T/A????

Thanx

What spoiler is that? I've seen it before, however it is not very common.

Re: I need help trying to identify this aftermarket notchback style hatch.

Just got my car back from the paintshop, started to mount it together today.
I will take some better pictures of it now so you can really see what it looks like. But is some work to put it together since every panel has been removed for painting and also all glass.

Happy new year by the way!
