pictures of stock rims with a 4th gen rear
I'm looking for people who have a 4th gen rear and either stock rims or stock offset rims. I'm getting tired of trying to find a good rearend for a thirdgen. And there are plenty of 4th gen rears within an hour of me. But I'm worried about the .75 of an inch they will stick out.
So please post close up pictures of your set up possibly showing the fitment.
thanks.

Here is my bird...in progress. Can't remember if these were the 15" firebird rims or 16" formula wheels yet in this pic.

And after:

I got air shocks in the back that keep me from rubbing, but when they are deflated, forget about it...they rub when you hit bumps certain ways. Never tried standard shocks though so that may be fine until they start to die off, but i like the way air shocks makes the back end look when it's raised.

alright I think I'm going to end up sticking to finding a thirdgen pbr rear. Ill be running 9.5 wide with a 35mm and only need an inch spacer having the extra .75 or more kinda seems like Ill be tearing some good tires and destroying some good paint.

If you replace the stock springs (which are old and worn out), you'll get plenty of lift so there won't be rubbing issues. Even with Eibach 1" lowering springs I don't rub - as long as there's nothing in my trunk and no kids in the rear. There are also air bags that can be inserted into the coil springs to help with compression on the springs - I'm planning on a set so that I don't rub on bumps when I'm loaded down with gear and luggage for the car shows I attend.
Alot of folks don't like the look, but I kinda like mine, and it's a very cheap way to get better gears and posi-traction! I now have 3.42 posi and LS1 rear disc instead of drums and 2.73 peg leg, and it only cost me $250 and a few hours time to swap!

Also, you can take the opportunity to switch to 4th gen wheels, have no problems in the back and only need to run two spacers up front. Also an idea if you are ordering those wheels you speak of.

Just get 2 wheels in the 4th gen offset for the rear & 2 wheels in the 3rd gen offset for the front.

Re: pictures of stock rims with a 4th gen rear
I wish I could I cant find them in any other offset then 35mm. There not exactly a popular domestic company. xxr or sportmax 962's I love them I'll be going with 18x 8.5 in front and 18x9.5 in rear. If anyone knows where I can get some other offsets please let me know. haha. I would really prefer a 4th gen rear.
