Sport Coupe to Iroc

I am trying to convert my SC body into the Iroc but i am not sure about the parts i need. I was looking at Hawks and saw the pieces but can i bolt an Iroc nose as a direct replacement or do i need to do a conversion on the whole nose piece? If anyone could help me out or point to a thread that has my answers i would really appreciate it.

Re: Sport Coupe to Iroc

You would need a new front bumper cover that has the clips or attachment points ont eh bottom edge that attaches the chin spoiler. I"m not sure if you need to change the front fenders though, you may be able to drill some holes to attache them everywhere else though. Hope that helps!

Yea i have went over the diagrams on all the pieces so i am trying to figure out how much i need to replace entirely and what i can just bolt on. It looks like i can just get a new or used nose clip for an Iroc and replace my SC and thin get a chin gfx to bolt onto that.

You'll have to drill holes for everything else. you'll only need to replace the front bumper cover with an 85-92 gfx variety.

here is the ones i put on. i need to bolt the last section that sits closest to the tires on the front one. these will need holes drilled into the fender to do it

i am sure there will need to be holes drilled for the side ground effects but i haven't gotten that far yet

A little drilling aint a problem just dont want to have to fabricate the the whole body. Now i can start shopping for some new bumper covers and gfx

You are going to need to create brackets to mount the side tabs of the ground effects to the rocker panel. i converted a sport coupe berlinetta into a z28 look alike. If u want i can post pictures of what i have done. if not you will need to find a doner car that had ground effects on it originally from the factory and air chisel them off and weld them to your car.

Re: Sport Coupe to Iroc

I´m on the same process, but here, in mexico, there are not enough parts cars to choose, so, im getting what i can find, so, im not sure it its gonna be an Iroc, or Z28, but both are better tan the SC look,

Re: Sport Coupe to Iroc

Think i may have found a donor car still working over the details with the guy. I have no dislikes about the SC i just prefer the Iroc body makes the body look a little taller without compromising the sporty feel.

Oh yeah. I wasnt saying not to do it at all. Its all in what you want. Sleeper, was the purpose of that car. I liked all my Z28's looks alot better, ofcourse.
