Hi,

I'm getting closer to getting mine painted, and I've decided I want it to be red. I want a really glossy/shiny red.

I want to see what some of the different styles of Red look on a Camaro. Could you guys post some red ones here?

If you know the paint brand and color code that would be great too.

Looking forward to seeing what's out there.

All I know is that it is a factory color. It has never been repainted.

 

Well I'm sorry to say I don't have a picture because it was sold around 1993, but my brother owned a '86 Berlinetta, and a friend of mine worked in a dealership at the time. The stock color was called "dark cherry," and being in Massachusetts, in the shade it could ALMOST look black on some days.
The gold accents looked good on that car. I might go hunting and scan a photo later.

the paint is still factory!!!

the car self has running 82000 miles!!!

 

Wow Dennis, I never see third gens that clean and half of them were made 15 minutes away from me. It must be a real attention-grabber in Europe. BEautiful.

 

Photos are great but the only real way to pick a color is to be standing right next to it and the best way to do that is ether at car shows or the dealerships. Spend a few days hitting the dealers in your area and you will see what I mean. There are some truly beautiful reds out there and they will be able to give you the color codes .

I like how you have the blisters black on the hood, I was wondering just how that would look!!! I'm going to do this too, it really makes them stand out better.
