Putting a new nose on an older car

I wrecked my car today and I need to replace the nose. Well Iv always loved the solid noses of the z28 and 87- cars. Can I install one if these on my 86 without adding ground effects? Would it look ok and have people done it before?

Re: Putting a new nose on an older car

You would need to run the front spoiler obviously and that might not look to good without the side skirts.
Probably easier to find the later nose though...

Re: Putting a new nose on an older car

I've seen pictures of cars with that bumper w/o the spoiler (usually during paint). It doesn't look good, it is immediately obvious that something is missing.

Have you seen a car that has just the front ground effect and no other?

That would look exceedingly weird...

This is what it looks like without the ground fx. The guy just had his car vinyl wrapped, and they didnt bother wrapping the ground fx mounting points, so they left it yellow, but it makes it more obvious. Although it's pretty obvious anyway...

And the 4 mile IROC, https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/hist...le-iroc-7.html

In case anyone is wondering, they didnt install the front ground fx until the car arrived at the dealer to prevent damage as it came off the truck. This car ended up in a storage trailer for 20 years and still had all the wrappings on the interior and the front ground fx were in the back seat of the car. Cool story.
