where to get fastenal bolts for C5 conversion

Hey guys,

I am trying to get ready a collection of parts and pieces for the fronts C5 conversion and I am following a list from this website: http://82lt1.cz28.com/brakes/page5.html.

So far everything is attainable from a j/y or from gmpartsdirect.com for a very reasonable price. The only thing is the allen head bolts from Fastenal. It appears they only sell them in packs of 25 for $35 which seems like a waste since I would only need 4.

Anyone know of a better place to get these? Or should I just buy them and have a few spares around just in case

Have you considered McMaster-Carr as a source for hardware? I looked and they have M14-2 x 35mm class 12.9 socket head caps screws.......10 for $12.45 These are about $.15 less per pc than Fastenal plus you don't end up with all those extras!

Here is a link:
http://www.mcmaster.com/itm/find.ASP...ring=91290A720

If that link doesn't work go to McMaster-Carr and enter part number: 91290A720

I have ordered from McMaster-Carr and delivery is prompt (if in stock) and shipping is reasonable.

hey i am a sales rep for Fastenal and those socket head bolts (part #39685) should be offered individualy. our cataloge says there in packages of 25 but our computer system does not and we can in fact order just four, belive me i just tried it, im actualy at work now if you are looking for a branch close to you go to www.fastenal.com and you can do a store search from there. if your local branch gives you crap about it shoot me a message and i will do wha i can to help you out fo this or any other fastener issue.
