Master Cylinder Upgrade?
Going to be swapping out the master in my 91 Vert it had front and rear disc but I recently upgraded the fronts to the LS1 big brake upgrade. Should I go stock on the master or is there an upgrade recommended? Thoughts appreciated.

if you change calipers you need to ensure your master cylinder bore is sized properly to the caliper pistons....otherwise you'll be chasing your tail on either too hard a pedal or too soft a pedal....

If a long pedal stroke and touchy brakes, go with an LS1 Camaro/Firebird master cylinder.

does that fit right in or are there mods that are needs to be made. i.e. also changing booster or fittings on brake lines? And use the same prop valve that is on the car?

You should be able to us your stock third gen booster with LS1 master.
Line fittings are are the same between the two cars so your stock lines should work.
Stock disc/disc prop valve should be fine to use also.

LS1 F-Body master cylinder should be a bolt in, but I wouldn’t change to unless I needed to after the front brake swap. Change on item at a time.

The 3rd gen pushrod is too short to mate up properly to the 4th gen master cylinder. The gap is larger than it should be, so there will be a dead spot in the pedal before the brakes activate.

i spoke to the guy at bigbrakeupgrade.com and he said to stick with the 3rd gen master so thats what im gonna do
