My brother has a Maxima that he wants to put a box with two 12 inch speakers in the trunk of......will it sound alright?
Where do you think the subs go in all those old Impala's that are so poplar with the low-riders? Answer: The TRUNK! I read an article that stated, basically, the more trunk space you have, the better it will sound, 'cause it gives the waves more time to travel, or something like that. They said that the perfect car for bass is an old Lincoln Town Car, 'cause they are HUGE!

Thanks guys I was just checking. I can build 400 horsepower engines, but I don't know a damn thing about stereo equipment.

I did an install for a friend who had a buick; I put one 10" pioneer in the trunk, in a sealed box. The thing pounded like crazy, so we closed the trunk to go for a ride. As soon as I closed the trunk, we could barely hear it. We couldn't even feel it from inside the car.
I hear that I'd have to cut apart the rear deck or something... didn't want to go thru all the trouble. But it's something to keep in mind for your brother...
