What Ohm?

I am planning on buying 3 10" Sony Xplod aluminum subs at 4ohm single coils each. What ohm will I be running if I bridge them all together? I think it will be 1. Thanx

you'll see a 1ohm load, but your amp will see half of that...depending on the amp, that wouldn't be too healthy for it..good luck

Three 4 Ohm voice coils in parallel will result in a load of one and a third ohms. Probably too low for any amplifier. The impedance varies with frequency and transients in the audio signal, so it will dip even lower than that at times.

I wouldn't do it.

1900 Watts you say?

Assuming 100% efficiency and running on 14.4 V this amplifier would require 132 Amps of current for 1900 Watts out.

That's a lot.

Then perhaps you need to check out Cerwin Vega's 12,000 Watt 2-channel amp.

and making the HUGE assumption that the amp puts out anything NEAR it rated output.
