Headunit just not working
Alright guys, i have a Sony Xplod (I know I know) 550x model. Ok so I've had it for about a year now and its worked great for my setup, today I came home from college, and was hooking my amp back up ( i unhooked it before i went cuz my dad hates it) so while i'm doing so i hear the headunit just make its security noise and shuts off. Now i'm baffled as to why it would do that, at first i thought it was the fuse but it wasn't. I later found out that its receiving power because i pushed the eject button to take the CD out and it came out, yet the unit won't play anything. Any ideas as to what it could be before i pull the whole thing?
try and find some way to reset the unit. I know one time when my battery was drained my unit was giving me weird errors on the screen and would eject or play anything, but i could change the volume but all it would get is static. I reset the unit and it was back to normal. Dunno if you've tried that yet or not, but its worth a shot.

ok i figured it out, it was one of the two power sources. i pulled the whole unit and rewired everything but the fact that the cd would eject threw me off. i actually went to circuit city and they told me the unit itself was fine so it had to be in the wiring, went back redid it all and voila. thanks for the help guys
