autozone has a reman on for 80 with 1yr 105 amp
or a new one for 130 with lifetime 105 amp

this is my plan tho, get the iceberg rebuild kit(140amp), smaller pulley, and then upgrade + & - at the battery side and alt wire

i think pep boys also carries a 105 or 108amp version w/ lifetime for about $125. they go about every 2 years, so the lifetime warranty is easily worth it

If you can wait I would just buy the iceburg conversion. I have one and have had no problems yet and have been running an 800 watt class a/b amp off of it with no problems. Definatly upgrade the wiring.

i would just keep exchaning them every two years then with that lifetime warrenty.. it only takes a few minutes for an alternator change..

get a high-output alternator. I fried my alt after a month of running my jbl 1200.1 directly to the battery. Since then I got a 160 amp alternator from www.mralternator.com for like $170 i think? I also bought a car and upgraded all my under hood wires to 4 gauge. If you don't want to go this route, then at least upgrade your wires under the hood to either 8 or 4 gauge. They are alt to battery, battery to ground, and engine block ground. this will help if you have dimming lights right now.

anymore questions just ask
