Check Out My Speaker Box!!

Hey guys check out my speaker box! Tell me what you think. I am considering building some of these (a few only). The box has (2) Jl Audio 10WV62 speakers powered by a Jl Audio 1000/1. I am not done with the install but you can see what the box will look like. The box fits flush with the well and will hold up to most 10" speakers. Thanks, Brannon

I'm curious as to why you chose to put the speakers so close to the center of the box, and to the edge of the box? normally its more work to try and cut those holes near the edge of the box, with basically no benefit... I had to do this to make 15" subs fit in a box, but that's a special circumstance.

center mounting

Well , the reason I put them that close is they won't fit any other way. As big as the 10wv62s are most of my mounting depth is in the center of the box. But with bass it's non-directional anyway so I didn't care AS LONG AS THEY FIT. But with most 10" subs they would fit in the box just about anywhere cosmetically you want. Brannon

Nice...I like the WS6 badge on it. What are you doing to cover the box. Carpet or Paint?

Thanks! It looks like in the picture it's not covered but it is actually covered in oem replacement carpet( camel tan). I bought enough to do the box so the car and the box would be an exact match. I will post some more pics soon that show it a little better. Brannon
