Sub box in Spare tire compartment
I was just wondering if anybody has made a custom box that would go in the spare tire space? Because i have been jacked twice now and i want my sub in a hidden location. And i want to free up some trunk space.. I just wanted some input.

A stealth box is a great idea and would probably sell like crazy if produced again but there's a lot of work involved, even more so for a once off where you don't have a mold to work with. Assuming you know how to fiberglass I would say that it’s defiantly possible but would take a bit of time. Aside from building the enclosure you also have to get it to blend in with the plastic trim of your car.
You might want to look into the possibility of sealing off your sail panels and running smaller subs (8") in the place of the 6x9's. See my post in this thread (the third from last one).

Yeah the sub i have now is a 12, but i positive that it wouldnt fit. its a kicker L7. so im gonna buy a 10. If i go any smaller im going to regret it.
And gummie about the replacing the 6x9's there is no way i could fit anything bigger in there. I was looking at that thread and my sail panels are very shallow im not quite sure how they got that big plastic enclosure in there? But yeah i am now just trying to find a shop that is good and would be able to build me a box out of fiberglass.

Im in the process of building a MDF box for 10" square L7 for the spare tire well. I havent finished it yet but I will tell you that you will have to remove the bracket that holds the spare tire in the car. You need that extra space. If you do decide to do this yourself then I suggest drilling out the spot welds that hold the bracket in place. There are about 4 or 5 on top just under the hatch seal. TIP: YOU MUST FILL THESE HOLES IN OR YOU WILL HAVE A MASSIVE WATER LEAK. Ask me how I know. Once I get my amps buttoned up in my back seats, then I will contiue work on the box...that reminds, I still gottas buy the sub.

I may be building something like this in the near future for my uncle's Camaro. If I do I can post some pics or probably produce a second one cheap. Not sure if he is going to decide to do this or not, but I may be building a box for both driver and passenger side. This will be a few months off if at all but I will let you know if I start this project.
