The receiver in my 92' Camaro went out about a year ago. I just bought the car off of my mother, and I'm looking to change out the stereo. Only problem I'm having on crutchfield.com, is whether my car has Bose or not. There are three options, why power windows matters, I don't know. There is:
Bose system
without bose system, with power windows
without bose system, without power windows

My question, is there any distinctive markings that would tell you if you do or do not in fact have a bose system?
I searched the forums, and google, and couldn't seem to come up with ANYTHING of any kind. Thank you for any and all help, much appreciated.

The Bose system will be identified with the 'Bose' name on the deck. It came with powered kickers and a hatch cover with amp/speakers built in. Pretty sure that system was not available in '92?

power/crank windows=> space for door panel speakers

 

"Bose" will be written all over the interior, they are not shy about advertising that.

 

Hey, that's a lot of help. I always guessed it was without bose, with power windows option.. but I didn't want to buy the wrong one and go through the trouble.. Mine says Delco or something like that on it. I'm positive it does not have Bose written anywhere or have Kicker speakers. Much appreciated guys.

 

the bose system was an option in 92, i have a 92 camaro rs and it has the delco bose system gold series in it, and it has the hatch cover

yea, i even have the build sheet and the RPO for it is UQ4

 

i have U79, according to camarosource.ca is says UQ4 is base and it doesnt say if U79 or UQ4 is bose

 

really, thats weird, my has like 3 radio or speaker option,

UQ4 BOSE SPEAKER
UU8 AM FM DOC CAS
