Iraggi alternator
I sent an email to Iraggi alternator to try and purchase a high output unit. I sent the email 4 days ago and haven't gotten a response back. I got an email from excessive amperage with a day but nothing from Iraggi, what's up?
Does anyone have more recent experience with him or have contact info. I used the email from sound domain but maybe that one isn't correct, can anyone help me out?

Re: Iraggi alternator
FYI...stay away from Iraggi
They have a history of VERY bad cust service (to the point of being sued) and their alternators do not put out what they are rated at.
There are many complaints on car audio forums.
What kind of amperage are you looking at?
If you want 140 amp a stock GM 1994 Cadillac alternator is rated at 140 and is a direct bolt on for the camaro.

Re: Iraggi alternator
Alternator is for my daily driver, not my formy. I don't know anything about this mechman, anyone care to shed some light on that. I wish I could find a good alternator rebuilder in the chicago land area but I'm drawing a blank.

Does mechman have a website? Or is it like iraggi and you have to email and do all this other BS?

Re: Iraggi alternator
one year warranty sucks, iraggi offers lifetime, that's why I was looking into them but I did send a message to mechman, I'll see what he says.

Re: Iraggi alternator
It put out under 12v at 4000 rpm. What a POS unit.
Lifetime warranty looks good on a site but good luck getting them to honor it.

Re: Iraggi alternator
Yeah, but I can't get ahold of DC alternators or Mechman. I've emailed, called, send email requests, and sent PMs on the car audio forum that they are on all the time. I wonder how long it would take if to fix a problem I'd have, after I buy a unit from them? Any other suggestions?

What amperage do you need and what kind of vehicle is it for?

Re: Iraggi alternator
2004 toyota corolla, 120 amps at idle, and at least a one year warranty. DC and mechman have what I need but I can't get a hold of them to order so anyone that can meet my needs can have my business.

Re: Iraggi alternator
Dom has been doing alot to get his company turned around here recently. I'd be willing to give him a try, but it is very hard to get ahold of him at times.
From personal experience go with DC Power, Rob will get back to you as soon as he can, but they are busy. If I still have his cell # i'll get it to you. I have a DC power alt on two of my vehicles. They are amazing alts and the customer service is superb. I had a connection issue with my camaro harness and Rob overnighted me the adapter I needed free of charge.

Re: Iraggi alternator
I finally got ahold of DC, and I am getting an alternator built, they said that is should be around the end of next week when I get it. They are a little cheaper than Mechman but hopefully it does what I hope it will.
Those that are clueless on Corollas, their alternators are famous for having weak bearing that overheat and break, this cause charging issues, alternator overheating, battery burning up, and voltage spikes. You could have 11.2 volts at idle and 15.1 going down the street, and batteries don't like that. I'll let people know how the DC alternator works out.
