Lokking to replace my speakers on my 91Z. I was able to find, and buy the AC Delco fronts. But I am having a difficult time locating the rears. The Delco part is 16040911. Has anyone had any luck in finding these?

They have been discontinued for a while. I checked a national NOS parts distributor and they did not have any. Try calling a local chevy dealer and I have them do a national inventory search. If they come up with nothing then you are out of luck

I went with all kicker cs series. 4x6 dash, 6.5 in kick panels (q logic) and 6x9 in the sail. Sounds awesome!!!

 

Alpine make oval speakers that are better quality direct replacements for both the front and rear speaks.

 

Key to the kickers are run them off an amplifier. I used bass blockers on the 4x6 and put 2 10 inch subs in as well. Ran everything off a 5 channel amp. Good balance of kids, highs and bass. I like it. Kickers like power.

 

I probably should have mentioned that the car has the stock radio, and I plan on keeping it that way. So no amps or subs.

Yes. 6x9, 10ohm

 

I was going to say that I have a set , BUT , their the 4 ohm version.You may have to have them reconed.

Well, fortunately my speakers are not blown yet. I was just looking for an extra set as "Preventive Maintenance" for when they do go. I will keep the info handy, for when I do need it. Thanks
