long as the car is carbed replace it with some rubber. When you get the time, get some compression fittings and some new metal line and put it together.

PS next time use 2 wrenches!

no, it should be OK. Try not to leave rubber on there too long, either that or check it regularly to make sure its OK.

its pretty close to the fitting, if theres room near the fitting and its not crushed there just hose clamp some rubber fuel line..

get fuel hose

it'll be fine. Mines rubber al the way from the fuel pump to the carb, though a steel braided rubber line.

what im gonna do, since the previous owner striped the smaller nut for the fitting, im gonna go hack saw a good foot of fitting off a car in the junkyard and put the rubber hose on somewhere else convienent.

Thankyou to all who replied, I dont know what i would have done without you guys, these boards kick so much ***!

Me so happy now :lala: :lala: :lala:

If you are gonna go that route, dont half-*** with the rubber, go to the parts store, and get two 3/8 compression fittings and put it together that way.
