Yuck. Put that on your car and old grannies on walkers will be blowing your doors off.

What exactly do you have now? Year, model, induction type, transmission. What will the car be used for?

Reports vary on the effect of switching from TBI to carb. That 2 bbl set-up you linked, though, is a definite downer.
TBI is a good system for what the factory was shooting for - decent power for the less-aggressive driver, good fuel economy, and clean emissions. One of the big drawbacks of it isn't the induction itself, but the heads they used on those engine - swirlports which helped give that good seat-of-the-pants torque feel leaving stoplights, while maintaining that good fuel economy (read: CAFE) and emissions (read: EPA).
The TBI forum is filled with information about how to improve performance with those engines. Step #1 is always improving the exhaust - the stock stuff is maxed out in stock form, any performance upgrades require first upgrading the exhaust (headers, 3" cat if you keep the cat for legal purposes, 3" cat-back). That's somewhere between a $500-$1000 proposition. After that, you can consider upgrading the heads, and the next weak link in the chain, the cam.
After that, you can look into improving the induction. Personally, I'm a "run whatca got" guy, even though I have carbs on my "performance" vehicles - I simply haven't progressed to the level of EFI in my performance life - maybe someday when I grow up I'll be able to afford a car new enough to have EFI.
What I hope you can see from this is you're approaching this from the wrong angle. Switching the induction is at best Step #4, and you're trying to make it Step #1.

Re: would this work ok?
well i'm having alot of electrical problems in the car theres alot of bad wire and my motor was pulled and rebuilt and it looks like they somehow smashed a bunch of wires and half *** fixed them. i was hoping to do away with this problem the easy way cuz i'm tired of fixing wires i'd rather cut it out. so to put on headders and heads and all that first don't do me much good when it woln't run and i need it to get me to places.
are ther some stock heads i can be looking for, to use that are better than mine? keep it cheap, the less i spend on this 305 more i can spend on this 350 build.

You might want to look for a replacement harness at a junkyard. They aren't that hard to replace, and can make a big difference in attitude.
The "good" factory heads are 081 castings. They were used on '87 LG4 (carbureted), and '87-up LB9 (TPI). They also work pretty well on 350's if you have 1.94" intake valves installed and do basic port work on them. You might check the Classifieds on this Board, people often have them for sale. Ditto on the harness.
