the choke cable kit for the Qjet jc, removes the round black plastic bimetalic spring cover, and simply replaces it with its own round black plastic housing to attach the cable to. hardest part is drilling for the screws to mount it. but it can be done. as for the electrical connection, anything that is hot with key on, but must go off with key off.

Yeah I have pretty much givin up on this thing. Now it " leaks" fuel or something , and quite a bit, when I turn it off. Pretty much sucks. It somehow is in beteem the two sets of " holes" and then works it way around the choke assembly, then puddles up on intake manifold. And it is quite a bit. I blew all around it with my air compressor to try to dry it all up and it was spewing out. Arrgggg

if it's tha 85 carb jc, there's always the truck and back tire option. careful you don't start any fires on your engine. i hope you get it worked out.
