carburetor air filter
i recently bought a 4 inch cowl hood and i was wondering what would be a good but cheap filter assemble for it

Anything except the triangle of death should workout fine, I am partial to K&N.

That filter gets fuel soaked, falls apart, clogs the carb and catches fire.

I'm a fan of the L69 dual snorkel (with taller lid from a truck w/ taller filter) or since you went cowl., maybe something like the Firebirds had with their offset bulge hoods: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/hist...onal-hood.html

Tallest filter you can fit under the hood. Forget expensive aftermarket "filter lids". Pretty much worthless. Just get a nice, tall 14" open element. If you can possibly consider making the cowl hood truly functional, that would be a plus.
