I recently put a procharger on my car and with the size of the fan motors on the stock electric fans, one of my blower pulleys is hitting the motor therefore creating sparks and all that bad stuff. Anyone else had this problem or have an opinion on a company or solution to this?

if you dont mind a little work, you could use pushers. I have 2, 3000cfm universal permacool fans mounted as pushers, a 14" working off the fanswitch, and a 12" on a toggle switch on the dash

though i dont know where your intercooler is, so this may not work, but the fans are pretty thin so you could still use them

yea i had gotten that idea before but someone told me its a better idea to keep it as a pull opposed to a push that it keeps it cooler? what type of weather do you have around there and what type of weather do you drive yours in. my car is mainly a weekender, track once in awhile but mostly summer and it gets decently warm and very humid around here

it gets pretty darn hot around here in the summer, and i was able to let it idle in almost 100 degree heat with just the one fan and it never went over 220. In the fall/winter i actually need to disconnect the fan cause it doesnt warm up enough

How big of fan are you using? I am giving up on the stock style fan and am looking at one that mounts to the radiator itself. Thanks.

I would look at getting some Spal fans if I were you. They cost a little more but are well worth the money. I ran a 16in perma-cool fan for awhile and it could barely keep the car below 210-215 on warm days. The 16in Spal fan I'm using now will keep the temp 180-190 on the warmest days. The cfm ratings of the fans are almost the same but the Spal feels like its moving twice as much air as the perma-cool did, you really do get what you pay for.

On my procharged car i ran into the same problem..(mounting depth) I found derale and flexalite. Derale seem to be to wide..The permacool was a good fit. Haven't drove it in hot weather though. The spal fans wont fit ether to deep. Good luck
