chips???

My car is wreaking havok on my brain. In its ecm is a thermomaster chip.

I was curious would anyone know where or how to get a stock chip for this?
Its a tpi '165 ecm.

Even if you know someone that can burn one (Fairly cheap) with all stock parameters, nothing deleted???

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Re: chips???

tuned - I wouldn't know what any of that greek is.

Also there is some logic here that is missing. First I only have one chip. The one in the car, so rendering my daily driver inoperable is not smart.
I understand that my chip "May" be reburnable, but to pay to have a $250 chip reprogrammed, to stock parameters especially...I'm not sure, but that would be kinda foolish and a waste of $.
On top of which I would need a special adapter, to put a stock chip, into a stock location???? Why?? Thats like saying you would need special motor mounts to put a 305 in place of a 350?

Now if I do need something special, an explanation of why is requested.
What exactely is being used that you need special hardware?
My car only has a memcal.

Re: chips???

It is hard to see if your memcal has 2 smaller chips a i/o buffer and netress. Hypertech makes a memcal with just one chip under the eprom That I have seen have problematic issues and throw a code 51 and is encripted some how and cannot be reprogramed. Your eprom is in a dip socket so the eprom can be removed and replaced. The letters I posted above are broadcast codes, different gear ratio and tire size options.
