EPROM Burner Schematics?

I found this: http://www.geocities.com/dsaproject/.../eprommer.html

Is that good? It claims it works with a 2732 but it's soooo simple! I'm not sure about it....

Any comments? Any better schematics?

Ive done stuff like this, looks simple in schematic form but by the time im done its a mess of jumper wires and parts . Theres also the drawback of the fact that your locked in to using the older eproms and you wont be able to take advantage of the newer eeproms and flash. Id personally just bite the bullet and get the PP2. I love mine and it was definatly well worth the 150 or so dollars I paid for it.

I do not have $150.... And I can build a real PCB for it. The parts on that would be $20 at most, including box and stuff, and even still I can get most of them for free.

Looks like a good little project. Would be real good if it worked with the Flash stuff.

FYI - Moates offers a burner that supports all the common chips we use in DIY-PROM for $75. It is a USB device. www.moates.net

Do you think Willem programmer (http://www.willem.org/) could be useful for our purposes? These devices are quite cheap - $30-35 here, in Poland; I didn't check at eBay yet. Looks like cheap alternative, but it doesn't have so nice, user-friendly software like Craig's one.

If you just want to do the 29C256 chips (which covers 90% of the applications we're interested in), then I've got something in the pipe for ya. Hopefully it'll work like a charm. Should hit the price mark as well. Look for the next couple of weeks and you should see some more info.
