Limp Mode between Chips
Okay so I posted last time, and never got an answer... so here it goes again...
Is the limp mode different between different chips?
For Example... Would a 86-87 MAF memcal have the same limp mode as a 88-89 MAF? or is it different because of the cold start injector?
Also, are the limp modes different between engine sizes and transmissions? Would a 305 manual limp mode be the same as the 350 auto limp mode?

I'd still recommend using a memcal from an application as close to what you're running. It still has to set some firmware items.

Okay thank you...
So I'm going from a '87 305 auto (with cold start) to a 383 auto without cold start... I guess I should look for a 88-89 350 Auto memcal then? And just tune the prom on top of that...
Right?

The newer the stuff is that you use, the more refinded it is. In your case the using the 89 stuff gets you the final version.

Maybe I'm pushing a little far here... but does anyone know the GM Part Number or anything for the 89 350/auto Memcal?

Is the ARAP a thirdgen chip or was it from a Corvette?

ARAP is a 'Vette calibration. Best to do a search as it has been covered. Off hand the fan outputs are inverted, VATs is enabled, the SA tables are too hot, no longer need cold start injector, cranks a lot before the injectors fire, and a couple of other things.

Any one have a valid GM part # for the NETRES chip.
I run the 7747 and have searched by the number off the chip, the chip numbers listed on Ludis' site and the GMECM site.
I have not been able to get any of the number to cross on the partsdirect or other parts sites.
There's lots of V6 chips in the JY but the V8 7747's are getting a little scarce.
