k im hopping that this can turn into a sticky i mentioned it earlier in a thread today but im tryin to get a list of the phrases or what not in my .bin editor program and list them then u experienced ones can chime in w/ what it means not nessesarily how u use them just what these mean in relation to each other i guess i typed up a few of the constants just to see how it goes it might flop and may be more than u guys wanna do but i figured id put up some just to give it a try this is almost half of the constants and we will see how it works if it goes good ill type all the parts up and at the end edit my first post and put all of them in order w/ your guys phrases and what not.
Constants
Prom Id: id on chip itself i belive
Mask Id: the designation givin to the ecm ex. $61
Engine off time:self explanitory, some things r remembered by ecm during this time.
Number of cylinders: self explanitory hopefully 8
BPW-Injector Constant:injector size EX: 50 lbs
SA-Distributor base timing (initial): amount of advance that set on distributor when starting
SA-Max RPM for slope SA: this adds timing after a certain rpm and up to a certain rpm i belive still looking though
SA-Slope added SA/1000 rpm
SA-Main Spark Bias
SA-Coolant Spark Bias:
SA-TCC locked SA bias:
SA- Max SA:
Baro- Max RPM for pseudo Baro:
Baro- Min TPS% for pseudo Baro
Baro-Max delta TPS% for pseudo Baro
HWY- highway mode load threshold
HWY- highway SA MPH threshold
HWY- highway mode timer
HWY- highway Min MPH threshold
Knock- MPH threshold
Knock- RPM threshold
Knock- Engine Temp threshold
Knock- Count threshold
EGR- Max added SA
EGR- Off temp: temp egr disengages and doesnot recirculate exaust gas into intake
EGR- On temp: opposite of above
EGR- Off speed
EGR- On speed
EGR- Off TPS
EGR- On TPS
EGR- Off Low Map
EGR- On Low Map
AE- IAC opening additional bpw
Choke- Additional AFR for hot restart
Choke- Hot restart IAT threshold
CldLp- Warm engine delay timer
CldLp- Closed loop coolant threshold
CldLp- Stoich AFR
CldLp- Max lean AFR
OpnLp- Idle AFR
OpnLp- Max lean AFR

and of course some r self expanitory after u explain one like for example
EGR on temp: Temp when the egr would ingage
EGR off temp: same as above butt off temp
like i said this may go bust but ill try it and ill organize it all after the fact so all u guys gotta do if u want to is put the deff. and if u feel more is needed go for it...i seems to be alot but i belive this would make an invaluble faq, sticky, or guide kinda like grumpys or traxions except just deff.

As I said, I think it is a good idea also for the NEW newbies. Never seen a table or constant or flag, but is willing to learn.
The senior gurus had to figure all this stuff out from scratch.
The people that followed them built on what they knew and posted. There by adding to the pool of knowledge or condensing it into a more user friendly format.
The people that already know the answers have little incentive to make such a post. They had to dig them out of the hundreds of posts by searching. They have since moved on to other pursuits code wise or not. Answers seem to come to those who provide some kind of return to the collective knowledge. I've never seen a complete acronym listing for the 3 main ecms. Since you want to know all of this. You might post the answers to each one here. People will be more than glad to point out your errors.

From what I can tell, everything u listed has been beat to death quite well here.
Do the magical "search" and pose your questions from what u still have a problem understanding.
Also try searching under various combinations of topics while using the search feature. Also many things are often misspelled and further compound the issue, WHICH IS WHY WE ASK THAT EVERYONE TRY THEIR BEST TO USE PROPER GRAMMAR AND SPELLING WHEN MAKING A POST.
Helps to make things a lot easier on the eye to read as well as to find it doing a search at a later date.

yeah i was just seeing if this would catch or not it was worth a try and i will do my best to look up deff. but mostly when u just type in something like AE or Baro it will give u a thread w/ someone adjusting it not giving a deffinition, but its all good i just thought it may be a good idea to have them all in one thread to eliminate some of the endless searching on every deffinition. and i figured there probably wouldnt be any posts to it cause as u said they had to search if they didnt know but back when all this started there werent as many people that had the answers to give and such but its all good ill try and find the ones i can but its hard to put a deffiniton up to them from a thread w/ a question on how to adjust the table or such.
