6E in 32B quirks?

I've almost got a good open loop idle now. Good enough to take the car out anyway. I noticed my OD light is constantly on (87 Auto 3.07 Vette running 89 Auto 3.07 Vette code). Also, my mileage displays are all showing 0. What's going on?

Sorry, I don't have any advice. I have an 87 Iroc and I changed from the 32 code to the 87 6E ARAP bin and have had no problems. I assume you have digital gauges by your comment?

Yeah... 87 Vettes have the craptastic digital dash. I'd kinda like to get my mileage display back.

I'm running the 6E arap code in my 86 vette and I do have all the dash functions without any problems. Aaron- I tried a couple of 89 6E code "vette" bins off the web that made the shiftup light stay on all the time and a few other weird problems-you might want to start again with a "clean" bin and see if that helps.

Very glad to hear that, so your using the plain 89 arap bin? I did a little searching and found what someone was calling a vette arap bin that they got from gm, even gave the part #. I'm only getting started at this point but I did an Unix diff on the 89 arap bin and the "what they called vette" arap bin and they were different. Guess this is a crude way to compare them but something was different. I will be getting all of the equipment when my garage is done, until then I'll continue to read up on everything that I can. Did you have to modify the bin at all or just burned and plugged in and it works? Anyway thanks for the reply, from what I've found or not found so far this probably answers the ? for a few others. Mine is an auto if that makes any difference at all.

As far as the dash functions all working it was a plug in; as for the rest-I had to modify quite a bit(and still trying out diff. settings), but my engine is also modified. The diff. in the 2 bins you looked at may just be the timing tables-or a lot more. You really have to look at each table and compare to get a better idea.

Thanks. Guess the next step is to get the burner and try each one to see if everything will work ok on mine.
