Hey Glenn, your 7730 MAT table mods work like a charm!!

Over the weekend, I plugged your MAT table modification into my calibration. I've been running the factory MAT tables even though I have a cold air duct with a relocated MAT sensor.

All I have to say is WOW! With my butt-dyno, It feels I picked 15 or more ft-lbs of torque on top of what I had already thought was a good running setup! Your tables appear to take full advantage of having a cold air duct with the MAT sensor mounted in it.

My earlier complaints about how my engine wouldn't quite run as strong after it got hot are no longer an issue. It now runs just as strong when very hot as it does when just warmed up and just gets into closed loop (when the coolant temp is hot but the air temp still registers cool).

It was a table created by GlennL98GTA. I picked it up a while ago but only input it the other day when I remembered I had it!

I just tried searching for it but I can't find it...

Here's the table anyway...

Been up there in the stickies for a few years at least.
And occasional review of them will make things click that you didn't even see the first time you read them as you gain more knowledge.

Amazing how you miss things even if you've read them what seems like a thousand times.

Thanks. You should also read some follow-up done by RBob. When I came up with those changes, it was strictly by "trial & error" over the course of a year's driving in a wide range of temperature variations (-10*F to +105*F).

While the table worked well with my engine & mods, others have said that it "doesn't quite work" for them. It is dependent on a bunch of other variables and I assume that both of us have(had) probably similar (or relatively close) fuel pressure, fuel injectors etc.

However, I never quite figured out an "algorythm" (like I have derived for a number of other tables) so I could compute the changes necessary if a person had a vastly different set of specifications.

RBob has gone back and "re-visited" this and I believe he has a good "algorythm" so you can actually get that table exact for your application (instead of my 'trial & error' table).

But I'm glad it was able to work for you. I beleive that for ANYONE with an SD car and a relocated MAT, that table is a great place to start...definitely better than the stock MAT table.

sorry for bringing up this "old" topic. But is this tabel good to go if you also use a IAT from a lt1 isntead of the old MAT?

Thanks

I actually used the MAT sensor from an LT1 when I developed the chagnes to thet table. To my knowledge, the main difference betwenn the LT1 MAT sensor & the L98 MAT sensor is the LT1 sensor is faster reacting.

hi all

just a question to g/sec

i run a SD system, so, how can i translate g/sec into speed?

i mean..when i´m crusing with light throttle, which air consumption do i have?

lets say 2200 sth rpm, 40mph..
where will i fall in? 64g/sec? more/less?

i´m fighting with the conditon, when my car is heat soaked, it doesn´t run smooth...

so i want to relocate the IAT...i´m just interested, if this driveability condition can be a result from this..

thank you
